About Commune
Commune is built on one idea: a place to live well, do good work, and come together. Private rooms and a world-class kitchen, the city’s largest coworking space, and a full calendar of community events, all under one name, all in one home.

សហគមន៍
[sa·hak·kom]
Shared kitchen, shared coworking floor, shared everything in between, that’s the point. The conversations, the dinners, the people who turn into more than just a neighbor or a name on the booking list. You give a little, you get a lot back.
ស្វាគមន៍
[sva·kum]
Young adventurer or well-traveled elder, there’s a place for you here. We’re curious about people who aren’t like us, and we hope that goes both ways.
ចេះយល់ចិត្ត
[che·yol·chett]
Che-yol-chett means understanding the other person’s mind. Living closely with dozens of others means thinking about how you show up for them, too.

No fine print, no games. We’re upfront about pricing, and we mean it when we ask what you think, your feedback shapes how Commune actually runs, not just how it sounds on paper.

Commune Manager
Pauline likes being close to the action. She is happiest when there is something to figure out, improve or build, and she tends to get involved in the details as much as the bigger picture.
She cares about how a place feels when you walk through the door, but also about whether it actually works once you are there. The welcome, the coffee, the way a team works together, whether someone knows who to ask for help, these small things matter to her. She did a TEDx Talk about it, you can watch it here.
After years of working with coworking and flexible workspace operators in different parts of the world, she has learned that there is no single formula for a good space. It is usually about paying attention, listening to people and being willing to change things when they are not working.
At Commune, she gets to do exactly that: work with a team she cares about, keep learning from the people who walk through the door, and help shape the place as it grows.

Community & Partnership Manager
Puthika is the kind of person who makes it easy to feel welcome. Warm, thoughtful and genuinely interested in people, he has a way of making conversations feel easy and giving people the space to be themselves.
At Commune, he looks after partnerships, events and connections across Siem Reap. His path here has taken him through education, research, hospitality and community work, including several years working with schools, universities, NGOs and social groups on projects around education, inclusion, gender equality and well-being.
There’s also a creative side to Puthika that is very much his own. He is a singer and songwriter, writing and performing his own music under his own name. You can find his songs on Spotify and other streaming platforms.
Music gives him another way to tell stories and share a little more of himself. It’s a nice reflection of the person you’ll find at Commune: thoughtful, open and always happy to have a conversation.

Where we are
Commune sits inside Rose Apple Square, in the heart of Siem Reap town, a 10-minute walk to Pub Street. Close enough for a night out, far enough for a good night’s sleep or a focused day of work.
Rose Apple Square brings the rest: a landscaped park downstairs, an outdoor pool, and a handful of neighbors worth knowing, such as Kaifun for coffee and a proper meal, We Love Siem Reap for something to bring home, and Bulldogs Fitness Center for the days you actually make it to the gym.

We are ULS,
nice to meet you
Commune comes from Urban Living Solutions (ULS), a Cambodia-based real estate and lifestyle developer founded in 2016.
ULS projects are based on this ethos: community first, buildings second. Factory, a 3.4-hectare former garment factory in Phnom Penh, became home to Workspace 1 (one of the country’s first real coworking spaces), event venues, art studios, and a campus people actually wanted to spend their weekends in. That approach carries into everything ULS builds, including homes: ample spaces to gather, plus people whose job is to nurture the community, run meaningful events, and keep residents connected long after move-in. Commune, our coliving and coworking space in Siem Reap, is the clearest example.
Coliving isn’t new territory for ULS either. Commune is where that experience comes to Siem Reap.
